My name is Andrew Thibeault, and I am a true 2024 Close D/LSM.  Ever since I can remember, it has been a dream of mine to play college lacrosse.  Unfortunately for me, I was not gifted with the same natural abilities as many of the kids that I grew up with and played with.

I vividly remember in seventh grade receiving the tough news that I did not make the Division 1 team in my town.  It was devastating to me at the time, especially because all of my good friends made the team, and I was told that I just wasn't good enough.  It was at that point I set a goal,  through hard work and discipline, I was not only going be as good as the people that made that team, but I wanted to be better.

I dedicated myself to the game and began my journey of year-round training.  Not blessed with a natural speed, I've trained hard for speed and agility.  I've been in the gym for five years, gaining strength to be able to compete at the highest level.  And of course, endless hours of wallball, shooting on net, and watching videos as to how to be a better lacrosse player.  Every chance that I get, I challenge myself to play with the best talent around.

I can now say without a doubt that when I cross the white lines to play the game that I love,  I can compete with anyone on that field.  I am excited to find the right academic and lacrosse fit for the next chapter in my life after high school.    My belief in hard work and discipline has paid off, and it will continue throughout my college years, and far beyond the lacrosse field.....this I believe.
