I have enjoyed playing lacrosse for the last six years, but it was not until last year that I really started to love the game. Lacrosse was not easy for me to learn. Once I recognized this, I realized that I needed to practice more, work harder, and put in more time in order to get better. Working hard helped me become a stronger and more confident lacrosse player. I started to love lacrosse when I saw my hard work pay off. The things that I work the hardest for are the things I love the most. They are the things that mean the most to me and make me the most proud.
I was proud when I was selected by my teammates to be the team captain for my lacrosse team last year. My hard work not only made me a better lacrosse player, but also a better teammate. My teammates looked up to me for my supportive leadership, positive attitude, and hard working mentality. These are qualities that I carry with me in all areas of my life.
I am eager and excited to start high school in the fall. I am ready for the challenges that it will bring both academically as well as athletically. I know that if I continue to work hard, I will succeed both on and off the field, and I look forward to being proud of all of the things that I work the hardest for.
