Over the last 13 years, sports have been a very important part of my life. I have played sports year-round often juggling several different sports at a time. I have played soccer, hockey, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and golf, and been involved in club skiing programs. In the summer, I remain active by going mountain biking, doing water sports on the lake, and going to the gym every day to lift weights. Although I have been exposed to many different sports and have played on many different high-level competitive teams, I am the most passionate about lacrosse. After playing both baseball and lacrosse in middle school, I made the permanent switch to lacrosse in high school. As my passion for the sport has grown, I have looked for opportunities to improve and strengthen my skills. I started playing club lacrosse three years ago in the summer and fall in Burlington, VT, and in Saratoga , NY. I play both attack and mid-field. This past year, I scored 30 goals as a sophomore on my high school varsity lacrosse team.
Sports have taught me many important life lessons. I have learned to be competitive, hard-working, dedicated, ethical, a good teammate, good sportsmanship, and being respectful to coaches and referees. I enjoy the competitiveness of sports and challenging myself to learn and grow as an athlete. My passion and love for lacrosse has grown tremendously over the last year. I decided at the end of sophomore year to focus strictly on lacrosse. I am committed to playing in college and doing what it takes to play high-level lacrosse. I decided to stop playing soccer this fall to focus on lacrosse. I am playing on a fall club team and will attend prospects and showcases to explore all options for college.
I am a very outgoing and social teenager who is looking to attend a college that has a good business program, is not too small, and offers college lacrosse. I have worked part-time in the restaurant industry over the last few years . This experience has taught me how to handle stressful situations and how to be engaged with people.
