About two years ago, I signed up for a Learn to Row class at my local rowing club on a whim. I was looking for a way to stay in shape and liked the fact that I would be outside. I had no idea the huge positive impact this sport would have on my high school and hopefully college career. I am a very driven rower and can genuinely say that I love this sport. Since starting rowing, I have improved my erg score every single time. I am not at my max potential yet and I will strive to continue to improve my strength, speed, and technique. My coaches always say "Rowing is the ultimate team sport". I take this responsibility seriously and enjoy the comradery and motivation we provide each other in becoming the best boat we can be.
In addition to rowing, I am a strong academic performer. I have maintained a high GPA while taking honors and college level courses. I have an interest in accounting and finance and would like to combine that with computer science courses. I am currently a member of the National Honors Society at my school and I have been selected for All County and All District through my performance in symphonic band.
I am excited and ready to be a part of a strong rowing program as I pursue my bachelors degree. Thank you for reading!
