My name is Jacob Chaney, and I've been rowing since 7th grade. I tried a lot of sports growing up, but fell in love with rowing the second I tried it. I wasn't a natural, but I worked hard to get to the point I'm at today. By the Spring of my Sophomore year, I'd become (along with my partner) the first in my programs history to go to Youth Nationals. I continue with rowing because it's something I can passionately give my all to, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I'm committed to and in love with this sport.
