Head of The Lake ...Personal Statement
My name is Sahir Coles, I am a coxswain on the Green Lake boys team. I have been coxing since sophomore year. I spent my freshman year rowing, because I rowed for a year I have a different perspective on coxing because I can easily put myself in the rowers shoes. This has allowed me to quickly excel at coxing and swiftly move up boats. I plan on coxing in college while earning a degree in education. I attend Holy Names Academy a very academically rigorous school and have been able to maintain a 3.7 GPA throughout school while practicing 20 hours a week. I have a lot of racing experience and would be an asset to any team due to my time management, coachability and experience in both rowing and coxing.
