Personal Statement
I plan to work hard toward achieving an engineering degree while playing soccer for a competitive college team. In soccer and in academics, I always give 110%, set high goals, and work tirelessly to achieve them. On the field, I am a leader with both my actions and my personality. I make friends everywhere I go and am coachable, able to adapt to any playing or coaching style. I can play multiple positions and am skilled with both feet. I am a physical player but have gained a high degree of technical skill by playing for clubs where technical skill was emphasized. Over the years, I have played every position on the field, including goalie, and feel that I have a mind for the game and great field vision. In the classroom, I strive to be the best I can be, setting goals for high grades and being a competitive student with my peers. That drive has enabled me to make good grades in a college preparatory school environment and score a current ACT grade of 28.
