My name is Fraser Molyneux, I was born in Bolton, England in 2007.
Whilst living in Bolton, I attended primary school and this is where I developed my passion for soccer.
During school vacations, from the age of 6, I was extremely fortunate to attend professional soccer clinics at Bolton Wanderers Football Club. This is where I really enjoyed learning and playing this beautiful game. Following this, I began my playing competitive soccer locally in and around the Bolton area.
When I was 10 years of age, as a family we moved to Lake Havasu city, Arizona. Due to my family’s passion for the game, we were very keen to start playing soccer in the USA. Initially, I played locally for a Lake Havasu soccer team. Whilst playing in Havasu, it became obvious that I stood out as a player due to my speed, first touch, work ethic, passion and knowledge of the game. Following this, I signed for a team in Phoenix. My commitment to soccer was such that I then signed for a team in Phoenix that meant we travelled to get regular weekly games at a higher level in the Arizona Soccer advanced league. This can mean a round trip of 6 hours for 1 game.
In 2021, we won the Advanced league, and won the Arizona state cup and went on to play in the US soccer Far West regional in Boise, Idaho, which was a fantastic experience.
This season (2022/23) my team has also achieved a spot playing in the USYS Desert conference, which is played in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Furthermore, the team qualified to play in the Far west regional in Boise, Idaho. We reached the quarterfinals. Again, it was a fantastic experience.
My high school career began in 2021/22, and as a freshman I started for the varsity team in every game as a central defender.
I also participate in track and am a very hardworking runner. My main events are 400, 800 and 1600m.
In my freshman year I was anchor in 4 x 800m for our Varsity team and look forward to running again this year.
I am interested in studying kinesiology and exercise science as both my parents are physical therapists and I am keen to follow in the same field.
