Personal Statement
In college, I plan to help grow the soccer program through learning and applying newly attained skills, building our team drive to succeed, and gaining recognition for the program all while getting a strong education. I have been growing in my confidence, character and leadership skills. A few words that describe me are level headed, tall, hardworking, good hearted and dedicated.
Athletically I have excelled on my club and high school teams earning a starting position and being named captain several years in a row as well as “Most Inspirational Player” by my coaches and teammates. I have played soccer since I was four years old. In 8th grade, I broke 4 school track & field records and blazed in cross country, but soccer is my true passion.
I have been dedicated to my education taking honors classes and a Business Magnet Program (based on the Future Business Leaders of America). This upcoming senior year I will be taking seven classes when I only need three courses to graduate.
At the same time, volunteering has been a big part of my life. I have accumulated over 400 hours in two years at The Shea Center which helps disabled riders through horse related therapy programs. I am on the Shea YAT PAK Leadership Team which contacts donors and organizes fundraisers. Recently I was accepted to the J.Serra Link Crew, a mentorship program to incoming students.
Along with soccer, school and community service, I have held a job for over a year now at Aliso Viejo Country Club.
