Andrew (Drew) Miller '25 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been my passion for over 10 years. It has always been a goal of mine to play collegiate soccer. Being on the pitch is surreal; it's a feeling like no other. As the center back, I get a rush of adrenaline watching the game unfold in front of me. During a match, I like using my leadership skills and knowledge of the game; I can easily anticipate the moves of oncoming players, I communicate with teammates, and I enjoy the physicality of the game. My coaches have always said I'm dependable and coachable. I have high expectations of myself as a player, and expect the same from my teammates. I am quick to bond with my teammates. Win or lose, I am loyal to my team and will battle until the end.  In the classroom as well as on the pitch, I am attentive to detail, thoughtful, quick-witted, and enjoy a challenge. Currently I am taking Honors Analysis. My favorite course is Italian because it is interactive, much like the game of soccer. 

Currently I am the starting centerback on Elk Grove Soccer's Elite Academy (EA) 07B team.  Elk Grove Soccer FC is located in Northern California. In my freshman year, I was the captain of Lincoln High School's JV soccer team, where I played centerback. The next season I was brought up to varsity and was the starting centerback. To conclude the high school season, I was the Defensive MVP. My Junior season at Lincoln High School I was the starting centerback and was given the CIF All-League Award.
