2022 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Highly driven, competitive soccer player who is excellent at 1 on 1 defending. I effectively utilize my speed and athleticism to be 1st to the ball, win challenges, gain and maintain possession and create offensive opportunities for teammates. Through relentless effort and consistent play, I am able to disrupt offenses and frustrate offensive players. I am both a team player and effective leader of the defensive line. I believe in playing fierce, aggressive defense while maintaining my composure and respecting both my teammates and opponents. I am excited at the potential of helping a D1 or D2 team continue their divisional/conference success or assist the building process of an up and coming team.
I helped my team qualify for the MLS NEXT FLEX playoff Tournament last May (2022) in Boyd's Maryland. Participated in MLS Next Showcases in California (December 2021) and Texas (June 2022). I defended against top MLS affiliated youth academy prospects, players invited to USYNT camps and other elite academy level players through these showcases.
My 2021-2022 Season Coach, Mr. Rick Derella, President/Technical Director of Oakwood noted the following regarding my defensive skills: "Strong 1v1 defender", "Strong stamina and mentality to win the ball" and "Very fast and can close down players".
In addition, my education and educational opportunities are very important to me. I have successfully balanced the demands of an elite level MLS NEXT Academy and a rigorous academic program. For instance, I have maintained Honor Roll each marking term. Therefore, I am looking for an athletic program that values academics strongly. I plan to major in actuarial science and/or Finance. I give my best every day in the classroom as well as the soccer field.

- Just completed a mid-season transfer to IFA of New England from Oakwood Soccer Club to enhance my development as a Future College player and to obtain the most rigorous technical training possible.
- 2024 Okawood Soccer U17 (MLS NEXT)
- 2023 Oakwood Soccer Boys 2007-MLS-Next (MLSNext)
- Regular starter at CB and RB. I successfully defended top players from Toronto FC, BW Gotschee, NYSC, Boston Bolts and NYFC. I participated in a successful 3 game PDA Tournament in Somerset, NJ (October 8th/9th). I participated in MLSNEXT Showcase in California December 2-8th 2022. I played 2 games, 1 for Oakwood Soccer Club u19's vs Midwest United and 1 game with Oakwood u16's vs Bavarian United SC. I had strong performances in both games. Club President, Rick Derella, featured me and another player in an Oakwood Facebook post for our fine performances in a 1-0 shutout over Bavarian United. Qualified for 2023 MLSNEXT FLEX Tournament in May. Through 2 consecutive shutouts we won Group M qualified for the 2023 MLSNEXT Cup playoffs in Texas. In the 2023 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs, we faced the #1 seed, Strikers FC. We played a very competitive, neck to neck game in a 2-1 loss.

- Starting Central Defender for Boys 2007 Team (38 Games). Outside Back for Boys 2006 Team (9 games). My games in 2021-2022: 29 MLS NEXT games, 18 Friendlies. Competed in 2 MLS-NEXT Showcases (CA 12/2021; TX 06/2022) and MLS-NEXT Flex Tournament in Maryland (05/2022).

- MLS NEXT Cup and Summer Showcase. We qualified for the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs! This event will be held at the Toyota Soccer Center, Frisco Texas and MoneyGram Soccer Park in Dallas-Fort Worth. Three 90 minute games to played against top MLS NEXT Teams from different regions/divisions. Next games: Monday June 19th 1pm at Toyota Soccer Center Frisco Texas Field 12 and Tuesday June 20th 8 am at MoneyGram Soccer Park Dallas Texas Field 11.

- I have had a very successful MLS Next Winter Fest Showcase in Indio, CA. Upon arrival, I was informed that in my 1st game, I would be called up to play for the Oakwood u19 team versus Midwest United. I came off the bench and played 30 minutes as an outside back for the u19 team versus a very physical and technically skilled Midwest United team. In my second game, I played a full game with Oakwood Soccer u16's versus Bavarian United SC of Wisconsin. I played well, especially in the 2nd half and was featured in Mr. Derella's (Club President/Technical Director) post game Facebook interview for a great defensive performance and showing the mental toughness to successfully continue the game and preserve a 1-0 shutout after taking a hard knock to the calf around the 70 minute mark. - MLS-NEXT SHOWCASE: I played 2 games for 2007 Boys and 1 game for 2006 Boys. The teams I played for went undefeated in Showcase. The highlight of the Showcase was playing against FC Barcelona's US based residential academy located in AZ. We tied FC Barca Residential Academy; which was an accomplishment as they posted big wins against other teams in the Showcase.
