Shane Sanzaro '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Shane Sanzaro and I am a Junior at Emmanuel Christian Academy in Newington, Connecticut. My home town is West Hartford, Connecticut and love being constantly active, practicing soccer, refining my skills whenever I have free time from school as it us a true love and passion of mine. I play Attacking Midfielder and sometimes Defensive Midfielder. I have helped to lead my team to win a  NEACS - State Championships in 2019 and this year 2021 as well two Regional championships. I have assisted the team in whatever it takes to grow as a team as that is what is important. I was humbled to have been honored to receive the recognition of an All-State player the last two years. I have played soccer since I  was four years old and through this experience I feel I have learned to “see the field”, I have gained great field awareness and place myself in a proactive position. I have developed and refined a  free kick of 65 yards, I have great shot accuracy in attacking position as well as in corner kicks and have obtained fluid foot skills. I would be a great addition to your team for three reasons. My determination to pursue something is undeniable, I hustle everywhere and will give more than 200% on the field, and lastly I am a great team player and believe anything can be accomplished if the team has the right heart and determination.
