Personal Statement

My name is Lois Angel De Los Rios Enriquez. I am currently a senior attending Hodgson Vo-Tech high school. I have played in the Boy's varsity soccer team for 4 years. I have been awarded All-State awards and Conference Awards throughout my 4 years playing in high school. I have many collegiate goals and aspirations which I would love to achieve one day.

Having a good education while being an athlete has always been a part of me. Ever since I was young, I made sure maintain a great level academically meanwhile playing sports. Education always comes first. Being a senior in high school, I want to attend college and receive a Bachelor's degree for Business Marketing. I hope to get the chance to fulfill my dreams and play soccer at a high level in the University  I hope to attend. As a NCSA member, I hope to be recruited from different colleges. I believe my athletic abilities will impress many coaches.

As a recruit, I feel that I have many abilities that make me a great candidate for college soccer teams. I have a very intelligent approach to the game, which can be seen throughout my passing abilities. Taking over a game is something which I excel in. Decision making is a huge part to the game, and I honestly feel like my decisions in the field are very smart. I am also a very fast player with good footwork, which makes me a dangerous player in any part of the field. Having the ability to use both feet is very important for me, as it makes me an unpredictable player. I am left-footed, which makes it naturally hard for many players to guard me. I also have the ability to shoot the ball very well. I am able to score from long distance with a great strike on the ball. Showing many coaches my skills and ability to play the game surely won't be a problem for me.

Being a recruit also means that I have to be a great student in school. My academics have put me over many different recruits as I have a 3.7 GPA which not many students have. I am also a NHS Member. Now I understand my SAT scores are not up to par with my academic abilities, as test taking is not my best aspect academically. I will not make excuses, as I have to learn different test taking techniques to make sure I am successful. My efforts have helped me reach a great level academically. I fully believe my SAT scores do not define me as a student. Off the field I am a very honest and good-hearted person, with a character that will make many people love me on and off the field. Leadership is one of my highest qualities. I will sure make a great student and athlete in the collegiate level.
