Personal Statement

I've spent most of my life playing this beautiful sport, the dream has always been to play at the highest level. In that case playing for a university will only get me closer to my dream. For some people this sport is just a game, but truly is a way of life. The freshest oxygen I breath it's on the field with a ball by my feet. I believe in hard work and dedication, with that type of mindset you can achieve anything. Always have been a dedicated student with the aspiration of learning something out of anything. Right now I'm playing high school soccer for Westland Hialeah Senior High School. I am also a player for a UPSL team called Argentine Soccer Academy.

  • Strengths From a technical perspective we thought you were very solid and consistent in your touch. Always under control and allowing you to make decisions but also set you up for the next pass. The ability to weight a pass properly while also being accurate in your passes was very good. We also liked how aggressive and direct you were in the attack and always looking to get to goal and create scoring opportunities. We stress to players that when we get the ball we want to go forward with speed and not allow teams to get behind the ball and you did this well. Very active in making runs and getting on the ball but also very good in the transition aspect of play in getting pressure on the ball and recovering. Areas for Improvement Defensively while you are quick on the transition one area that we would like to see you get better at is individual defending in 1v1 situations. Especially in the morning session we noticed a few times where you would get caught diving in and commit and allow attackers an opportunity to get by. Make sure you are not caught square and try to make play predictable and force one way and then cut it off. Speed of play. As you saw in our game against Lander the speed of play is very fast and you have to be able to make decisions quickly and get the ball out. You have a good touch so as it comes to you look to scan the field and get a sense for where the danger areas are so can get it there quickly. Lastly, it is a common recommendation for players in high school is look to start building up strength now so the adaptation to college game is easier. College is guys that are bigger, faster, stronger and building up lower body strength, and core will allow you to have a strong center of gravity and make it difficult to get off ball. But also, those 50/50 battles will now become easier.
