Brandon Salcedo '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brandon Salcedo and I am a 2024 Center Defensive Midfielder, although I can play anywhere on the field. I have played club soccer for the past 10 years and currently play at Florida Rush U19 MLS Next in Orlando. This past year I was also on the Florida Olympic Development (ODP) Team and the Regional ODP Team, representing 15 Southern states. I played for 2 years for Bishop Moore Catholic High School soccer team where we were State 4A finalists those two years. What sets me apart from other student-athletes is my strong work ethic. For example, I am very proud that most people cannot distinguish which foot is my dominant foot, as I can pass and shoot with both equally. This skill came from years of training 6-7 days a week. Every day I have off from the club, I still train on my own or with a private trainer to better myself and my game. Not only do I demonstrate this work ethic on the field, but also in the classroom as I have a 4.2 weighted GPA and take many honor classes. I thrive on feedback from my coaches, mentors, teammates, and professors and take their advice to raise my game and myself to the highest level possible. Getting to blend my passion for soccer and my goal of a higher education is what I am determined to accomplish as a collegiate athlete. I am confident that I will be successful both on and off the pitch as my strong work ethic will lead me to my goals.
