Kent Hepfinger '24 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play at the highest college level with equally high academics. 

I love playing for my teammates and my school. I have been on winning & losing teams both in club and in school, but the most important part is that we work to get better. I am committed to improving every day whether on the field or in class, and I push my teammates as well. Whether I am a starter or 2nd team, I feel my job is to help the team get better and I work hard on every single rep.

As a goalkeeper, I see myself as a team leader and director on the field. I have good positional awareness of myself, defenders, and the other team, and I often can pick up their tactics. I think I have sound decision-making and can work with different strategies whether play out the back, long ball, fast tempo, or park the bus. 

At 6' 3" I believe I am the right size as a goalkeeper.  I am technically sound, and I have a good awareness of where the ball is going.  I am durable, but I know I need to continue to build strength as I deal with opposing players in the box, and I feel the right program can help me improve this area. My focus is improving my hands and being more precise in distribution. I train at least twice per week outside of normal club/school practices to improve my skills.

I am a reliable player, positive leader, and a great teammate.
