Max Snodgrass '17 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Maxwell Snodgrass and I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I have also enjoyed playing other sports such as basketball and football recreationally but when it came time to pick a sport to concentrate in I chose soccer and it was the best choice that I could make and I have never regretted it. My passion for soccer has only increased over the years. Every opportunity I get to play soccer I take and it just makes me a better player. I am always looking for ways to improve my skills and knowledge of the game.

I started out playing AYSO soccer and advanced to playing for the Chicago Blast Soccer Club. I have been with the Chicago Blast Soccer Club for five years and this is my third year of playing at the Academy level for the Chicago Blast. I play the left back position. In the spring 2014 season of soccer, I was playing 2 to 3 Academy games a week at Olympic Park in Schaumburg, IL as well as playing Red games for the Chicago Blast on the weekends. I am proud that I was one of the leading scorers for the Chicago Blast Soccer Club for the 2014 spring season on the NISL board. 

As much as I love playing for the Chicago Blast it was important to me to play for my high school. I am currently a Sophomore at Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale IL. This past fall season of 2014 I was a starter for the Sophomore team. I played the left-back position. In my Freshman year at Hinsdale Central High School I was also a starter and I never missed a game in either season. Next year, when I am a Junior, I plan on making the Varsity Men’s Soccer team at Hinsdale Central High School. It will be my honor to represent my high school in this capacity. 

I play soccer all year for my club and my high school and this responsibility helps me stay organized with my time and on top of academics. It is my dream and I am determined to play at the college level.
