Nicolas Rodriguez '22 Recruiting Profile

When I was 14years old, I was invited to play in a tournament for the Millonarios F.C. Jr Academy; Colombia's most storied professional soccer club. This experience taught me to enjoy playing a more possession based style that enables my team to control the pace of the game and send in long balls/ crosses that catch opponents off-guard. In 2021 ans 2022 I played for Chicago FC United and enjoyed competing In the U19 National PRO league. In 2022 and 2023 I played for Singapore FC and scored a goal against the Singapore National Football team in a friendly. Lastly, I am a dedicated student-athlete ready to persevere and to work hard both in the classroom and on the soccer pitch.  My dogged work ethic along with my coachable personality makes me a viable candidate to succeed playing in higher age groups/tougher competition. These same traits are replicated in the classroom where I continually strive to achieve academic excellence.
