Isaac Badskey '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Isaac Badskey, and I am a senior at Elkhart Christian Academy in Elkhart, Indiana. I am a very competitive soccer player with the intent of playing college soccer at the highest level possible. As a freshman I competed for the starting keeper position with a sophomore and won and kept it for the remainder of the year. I have now started all four years of my high school career and have helped my team tremendously through those years helping us compete against much bigger and ranked opponents.   I have great hands and my keeper coach has commented that I have some of the fastest reflexes he has had the privilege to coach.  I have also worked hard to be skilled with my feet.  My teammates can trust to pass back to me and distribute. I always keep my head up high even after a goal or a loss and I try my best to lift up teammates and keep them working hard.  I have also won First Team All-Conference as a sophomore, junior, and a senior.  In addition, I was just named Most Outstanding Player on my team for the second year in a row.

I have played for my club team Fort Wayne United FC 06 for two years now and am just starting my third.  We made the commitment to travel an hour and a half to practice several times a week because we recognized the FW United gave me the best opportunity to improve my game in so many different areas.   They have the best keeper program in the area by far.   In June of 2022, I had the opportunity to play in the Midwest Regionals with my club and was recognized by the coach as the best player on the team during that series of games. When I'm done with high school I want to be looked upon as a phenomenal leader, a great friend, and a great goalkeeper.
