Ryan Hicks '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Hicks and I am a 2024 midfielder from Alexandria, Louisiana. I have been playing soccer since I was 3, and now currently a senior at Holy Savior Menard Catholic High School. I started playing varsity soccer for my school my 7th grade year. 

This season my team and I went to the State finals where we lost in PK's 8-7, after being tied 2-2 in regular time, overtime, and sudden death. I was awarded team MVP, All-District MVP, All-Cenla (Central Louisiana) MVP, All-State Offensive MVP for scoring 34 goals and 19 assists this season, and All-State Upper 90 Club.  Previous years I was awarded to the All-District team my 8th (2020) & 9th (2021) grade year, All-State freshman team in 2021, All-District Offensive MVP, All-Cenla MVP and All-State team in 2022 my sophomore year. I have been Team Captain for my sophomore and junior years. 

I am also a 4-sport athlete where I also play football, bowling, and track. In football I have been the Special Teams MVP for kicking/punting my sophomore and junior years. I also made All-District and All-Cenla for K/P. In bowling I scored a perfect 300 game this year, which may have been the highlight of my life! I have made it to the State Championship for team bowling my 9th & 11th grade years and the State Championships for individual bowling my 10th and 11th grade year. In track, this is my first year to compete, because I am trying to become faster for soccer. My 40 yard dash time is 4.46. I currently compete in the 100m, 200m, 4 x 100m & 4x200. 

I would love to continue playing soccer in college. I currently have a 3.54 GPA taking all honors courses, Dual Enrollment courses and Advanced Placement courses. My last ACT was a 27 and my superscore is a 29. I plan to take the ACT again in the soon.
