In the summer of 2016 I was selected to compete for the U.S. in the Tipselit Division of Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. While this was an incredible experience, I experienced the most growth following the ACL injury I received while in Sweden. After undergoing surgery I had to make up two weeks of AP classes, attend physical therapy appointments three days a week in the morning before school, and continue to act as a captain on the varsity soccer team. Through overcoming this obstacle I have developed a work ethic that was necessary at the time, which I can now apply to my academics and athletics to excel and reach my full potential.
