Alexander Greene Barrios '24 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing soccer for most of my life, and I have devoted thousands of hours to work towards becoming the most well-rounded player that I can be. I am a rigorous student who focuses as much on academics as I do with sports. I will take every opportunity to better myself and never back down from a challenge (with sports or academically). I constantly strive to keep an open dialogue with my coaches about my strengths and weaknesses as a player, because I believe receiving and implementing feedback is one of the best ways to improve. I believe coachability is one of my greatest strengths. I have also spent several years wrestling which I believe gives me an advantage over other single sport athletes as it has taught me important values such as self-control and mental toughness. I have learned to give 110% of everything I have on the field or on the mat - every time I compete. I'm a firm believer that your last minute of the game should be held to the same standard as the first minute. I'm used to rigorous training and holding myself and my teammates to a high standard both on and off the field.
