Matthew Bregand '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 6 and loved the sport. I have played multiple positions over the past few years but have found my place in defense and it is what I enjoy the most. I have great speed and have been able to force my opponents out of bounds or am able to take the ball and get it back to our offense, I keep my head up so I can see the plays. I have a big foot so can move the ball well down the field. 

I am a team player and will support my teammates when we have a great game or a poor game. I am able to lead my defensive line and they listen to what I am saying. I am able to quickly realize what I am doing correctly or what I have made a mistake on and need to correct. If the coach tells me to do something I am going to do it. 

As for school, I am a freshman this year. My school does not have soccer, but I am playing for the Michigan Jaguars year-round. I currently have a 3.90 GPA
