I've been playing soccer for about a decade, year round, for multiple years and absolutely love it! As a sophomore this past school year I made the varsity team for the D1 school I attend. During the club season, I play for a Premier Level team. I like to think that I'm a team player, always being encouraging to my fellow teammates. I try to show great character by leading by example. I work hard throughout practice, am one of the last players off the field, show up for voluntary training opportunities, and help out in any way I can. I am most likely going to be captain of my high school team my senior year. My soccer IQ is high and have performed well under a variety of coaching styles/coaches. All of these reasons help make me an excellent candidate to play at the collegiate level.
Besides soccer, I also have done track for three years now, and performed at the top of my team as an underclassmen. Another activity I am involved in is orchestra. Since freshman year, I have been in the top orchestra group of three in my high school’s music program. As a student, my cumulative GPA is above a 4.0. I have already earned a five on my AP World History exam, and am planning to take more in the next two years. College soccer is my opportunity to continue playing the sport I love, and to continue improving my skills at a higher and more competitive level, but also have fun doing it!
