280 pounds. At the beginning of 2021, I was 5 foot 7 and weighed 280 pounds. I had given up on soccer, I could barely run, I had a GPA of 0.8 heading into the second semester, and I had no idea what I was gonna do with my life.
Thankfully, my sister (who had been diagnosed for years at this point) suggested to me and my parents that I should get screened for ADHD. It was the best thing that's ever happened to me. Since then I lost 45 pounds, grew four inches, and can actually run again. I'm now on track to becoming the athlete I've always wanted to be and believed I could be.
From the beginning, sports have been a massive part of my life. I couldn't imagine my life without any form of sports. From the chaos of the ballet and dance recitals to the fluidity of my skates on the ice, I've loved every second of it. Now I can pursue the one I love the most, soccer.
