Personal Statement
My name is Eric Mace I am in grade 12, 5'5 and 155 lbs.I have played High School soccer for only two years, and played club soccer since I was 6. We started out at a low c3 level, but then brought ourselves up to c1. I played right outside mid and forward. I've started during my club seasons and have scored and assisted in a lot of games. I don't know the statistics yet until I contact my coach. I am not in club soccer anymore, but me and a couple of our soccer teammates are doing a indoor soccer league in Burnsville and are hoping to have a team to just do tournaments during the spring. For High School soccer I started in the beginning and as the season went on I was tossed around at starting sometimes and subbing in. I know during my high school career I have scored 2 goals and no assists. My two goals was one against Burnsville and one against Cretin Derm Hall. Our team this year for high school soccer was undefeated for section games and went on to the championship for sections, but then lost 2-1 against Rosemount. I did not receive any rewards for high school soccer or club soccer and was not captain for either of them, But I am physical, love to use my body since I have played hockey since 7th grade and always put in 110 %. My coaches would call me the bull dog because of how I never quit and I am so aggressive against players. During one of my club games when we were in district playoffs I was going so hard and scored two goals that I had to tell coach to sub me off and when he did I knelt down and began to throw up my water that I was drinking. When I was finished throwing up I got back up went to my coach and asked if I could go back in. My coach was so amazed with me and never saw a player so determined no matter what the score is that they would still give it their all. And that's what I am willing to put to the test, is to show what I can really do and be able to show my skills. But one of my disadvantages is my first touch, but I have been working on it ever since and my high school and club coaches have said that they have seen a lot of improvement over the years and are very proud. Soccer is my favorite sport of all time and I don't want to stop now. I want to go as far as I can and be able to enjoy the game like I did during my club and high school season.
