In my 12 years of playing soccer my passion for the game has never changed. I enjoy a challenge and strive to be the best that I can be. Starting my freshman year, I have been a part of Century High School’s (AA School) Varsity team. I am honored to have represented the team as a captain during my Junior season and am excited to lead the team in the upcoming fall season. As a competitive athlete I have also earned a spot on the Euro FC Soccer Premier team, playing at my current age level. Soccer is a huge part of my life and practicing is important to me whether it’s with my team, on my own, practicing PK’s with my younger sisters in the basement, or simply kicking the ball around with my friends. Now for some, this level of dedication takes away from their academics; however, for me it’s just the opposite. Soccer has come to help me balance the stress of school and everyday life. With it I find myself taking more of an initiative to stay on top of my academics and it has proven to be an excellent physical outlet. Having both of these things in my life encourages me to be my best all across the board.
My character has matured a lot throughout my life. Whether it’s by helping others or entertaining myself, I place high priority on enjoying life; as what’s the point in living if you’re not enjoying what you do. While enjoying what one does is a crucial part of life; it’s also important to know when to be serious. This is something I have learned through my life experiences and has continued to shape me as an individual. Through these experiences (particularly family matters), I have learned that sticking together is the key to holding strong. This holds true to a team. Over time a team becomes a family as they learn to work together as a single unit. On my team I have learned to value and take advantage of the strengths of others while compensating for each other’s weaknesses. As a team, players must stick up for one another and always have each other's back. This is one of the biggest parts to a team and this is "Trust". This is one thing I can and would bring to the team.
