Personal Statement

I am currently a strong student-athlete at a college preparatory school and have aspirations to run at a high level for both cross country and track and field in college. I am hard-working and organized in my approach to school and running and believe I would thrive in a college environment. I am a good teammate, very coachable and when I lead, I try to lead by example. I hope to attend an excellent academic and athletic D1 or D3 school preferably on the east or west coast, however I am still open to all other areas. I am willing to work as hard as possible as a runner to see improvement, help my team, and improve myself. I also work diligently to keep a good balance between academics and athletics.

Training

I run all year round and mostly build training plans for myself in the off seasons but am under Coach Kust and Bile's guidance during the indoor and outdoor track season and cross country season.

I typically run lower milage weeks such as 30-40 miles with a focus on quality and speed sessions.
Last 18 months: July-August 2021 = Base building (2 weeks off after state then climbing up to 50 miles per week by mid-August with some speed work); April-June 2021 = Workouts (Lower mileage with around 30-35 miles per week with up to 4 workouts on the tr

In addition to necessary training for each season, I include cross-training such as spinning, competitive traveling team soccer and recently CrossFit/strength training. I also continue to do steady/consistent Physical Therapy to build up strength in my hips and glutes.
