Nicolas Janvier '24 Recruiting Profile

I am passionate about the game of soccer. I believe I am ambitious and versatile defender who can play on the right (preferred), left and center back.   I am fast and excel stopping the attack.  I'm proud of the goals I have contributed over the years. 

By way of background, I am an American citizen, but left New York when I was 8 to move to London, UK with my family for my Dad's job.   I continued to play soccer in Southeast London progressing to a very high pre-academy level. By age 12, I worked my way onto the Kent Youth League squad, one of the most competitive squads at my club Bromley FC.  I have been recognized with invitations to trial at Premier League clubs such as Tottenham Hotspurs FC, Chelsea FC and Crystal Palace to name a few.  I continued to persevere train and develop. I captained my squad for two seasons, and in 2022 we won the Kent FA County Cup, which was a major achievement.  

My goal is to continue my academics at a U.S. university while playing soccer.  I am a great student and I'm keen to earn my degree while playing soccer.  Because of this wish, in August 2022 I moved back to the US to attend The Pennington School, a boarding school in Pennington, New Jersey, where I am a member of the Varsity Soccer Team.  Presently, during the offseason I am playing with MatchFit Academy in Mercer County, where I play on the 04/05 squad (NCSL). 

I am a dedicated and committed soccer player, constantly working on my technique, speed and agility.  I always look to improve my style of play and help the team win. I have never missed a training or a match, unless I have been unwell or had an exam conflict.  I am assertive player and looking for the right opportunity to continue to showcase my skills.  Thank you for your interest.
