Owen Jarrell '25 Recruiting Profile

I am Owen Jarrell, a 2025 Goalkeeper from Port Washington, New York, maintaining a 3.96 GPA, as a three-time New York State Student-Athlete award recipient. I started my soccer journey at the age of 3, playing in local leagues, and at the age of 6, I was asked to join the DUSC Soccer Academy in New York City, where I played for six years. In 2019, I moved on to the Barca Academy to play for the Barca New York 2007 Pro and later began my high school career.

As the starting varsity goalkeeper for Schreiber High School, I've experienced outstanding competition and great teamwork. Over two consecutive years, our team advanced to the Nassau County Semifinals in the county's top conference. With 15 starts, six shutouts, and 74 saves this season, this hard work has earned me personal recognition as an All-County Honorable Mention, All-Nassau County, and All-Long Island Rising Stars All-Star Games participant (for the county and island's best juniors).

I am equally dedicated to playing for Barca New York 2007 Pro (NAL League). As the starting goalkeeper for the past three years, I have been instrumental in our team's success in reaching the New York State Championship last year, competing in the regionals for the US Youth Soccer, and reaching the semifinals in the MIC Tournament in Costa Brava, Spain. 

I am excited to continue my academic journey and soccer career at the next level, and I am looking for an institution that values athletics and academic excellence. With my track record of success, dedication, and commitment, I can contribute to any team as both a strong teammate and an outstanding student-athlete.
