Evan Levitas '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m Evan Levitas. I attend Central Academy of Technology and Arts as a member of the 2025 graduating class. CATA is a magnet school at which I specialize in Engineering with a 4.4 weighted GPA. Soccer is my passion, and it is a sport I have played my entire life. I have always been a 2-sport athlete, playing both soccer and tennis - sports my parents have been involved with since I was young. My mom was extremely involved in coaching me into the soccer player I am today, along with providing me with countless hours of private training and independent practice. I currently act as Captain on the Charlotte Eagles 07 Academy Team, and I have started and played every minute since my first game as a freshman for my varsity high school team. I am known for my intelligent defensive play, speed in my ability to track down attackers, and physical strength in taking opposing players off the ball. My coaches have highlighted me as hard-working, coachable, competitive, extremely athletic, and respectful to all of my teammates, coaches, and officials. As a center-back, my ability to read the game and defend accordingly is my greatest strength as a player. This is where I believe my individual skills truly stand out.  In my experience, very few players combine both the technical and physical side of the game to the level that I do. Because I seldom come off the field, I put a strong emphasis on ensuring I am in prime condition from both a physical and mental standpoint. I am currently training to join a team in the MLS Next League. I have competed alongside players who currently play on the Queen City Mutiny FC and am in contact with some about the next steps I should be taking.  My goal is to focus on soccer along with my collegiate academic stems.  My desire is to carve a successful career path while valuing the life skills and relationships that I will develop through my interactions with teammates and coaches.
