My goal for the next four years is to play collegiate soccer at the highest level possible and earn my college degree. I feel that I will help a high level college soccer team win due to my athletic ability, work ethic, "coachability", and team-first mentality. An example of this is our Green High School varsity soccer team, which experienced the best record in the history of the school in fall of 2015, finishing 19-1-1 and losing only to eventual state champion, St. Ignatius in the regional finals. I was voted captain of the team (prior to the start of the season) and scored 28 goals and assisted on 14 other goals. After the soccer season ended, I was named to the Great Lakes Coaches Association of America's Regional Team. I also received first team all-Ohio, first team all-district, and first team all-league. I was named the Federal League Player of the Year and was voted most valuable player of Green's varsity team.
I have further refined my soccer skills this year. I am equally comfortable passing or shooting accurately with either foot. My field vision and decision-making abilities are also strengths of my game. Although I normally play an attacking center midfield position, I am capable of playing well at other offensive or defensive positions. Not only will I be an asset on the field, I will also conduct myself in a similar manner off of the field. I am a good student, who maintains a high grade point average. I am a well-rounded individual with many interests. I am also an Eagle Scout.
