I’ve been playing soccer since the age of 5. My very first experience was refusing to run the length of the field because ‘it was too far’. I’ve grown a lot as a player since that time and I hope that I continue to grow as a player through high school and college.
I just finished the season playing on the varsity soccer team for Central Bucks High School East. Even though I was not a starter for the team this season, I feel confident that as I am continuing to grow as a player I have good chance to be a starter for the 2024 fall season.
I have worked hard on becoming a two footed player (verified). I am naturally right footed, but through hard work and determination I have become ambidextrous, always surprising the opposing team. I feel that this along with my physical strength, strong slide tackle ability, focused head balls, and passion for the game has helped make me a much stronger defensive player.
Over the years, I have been able to learn to play multiple positions on the team and am currently a strong Center Back with the ability to play Outside Back and I can also sub in the mid-field when needed. I enjoy playing all positions and feel that my skills assist my team in becoming stronger overall.
Going forward I would like to be able to continue to grow as a player, building on the skills that I have in order to be an asset to the team I play for in college. I play/practice year-round in order to maintain and grow my skills. In addition to playing, this year I also hope to volunteer for a summer soccer league for younger players.
Over the past few years my grades have been strong (A-/+) in most classes. Several years ago I was diagnosed with a migraine disorder that prevented me from doing my best in the classroom, even being forced to do online learning through the school to help accommodate me with my headaches. I have since recovered and have been able to keep my grades high and will continue to do that in the future.
I look forward to playing soccer in college and hope to find the right college match that will enable me to use my soccer skills and also help me grow as a player.
