Billy Kowalkowski '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Billy Kowalkowski, and I am a soccer player for Steel City Arsenal and Burrell High School in the greater Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania.  I will be a junior in school this coming fall of 2023.  

Academically. I am currently #1 in my class, a member of National Honors Society and have  a cum. weighted GPA of 4.47 and cum. non-weighted gpa of  3.95.  My other HS sports that I have varsity lettered include cross country, track, swimming & basketball.  I have also placed at Regionals and Nationals with USATF in Track and Cross Country. 

On the field, I am normally at right or left wing, but also play center, and right backer from time to time.  Due to my fitness level I typically play the whole game and impact offensively and defensively.  As a freshman on my HS team I led the team with goals with 7 goals and 12 assist. My sophomore year I moved to defense but still had 3 goals and held out team to 5 shut outs. On my cup team I was am on the top team of  3 levels of teams with a pool of 72 athletes in the 2007 year. I helped drive our team to state cup and miid-west regionals. 

My extracurricular activities include being a class officer and also vice president of student government for multiple years,  Future Business Leaders of America where I have advanced to the state level multiple times, Reading Railroad contributor (RR is a program that brings older students together with younger students to development classroom skills), SEL Leader Program (Social and Emotional Learning), Interact Club member (community volunteering), and a STEM club member.
