Avery Thomas '23 Recruiting Profile

Dear College Coach,

My name is Avery Thomas (2023) and I attend Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA. I am a varsity starter for my high school team and I play left outside back. For club, I play for Pittsburgh Hotspurs U19 2003 Blue. My club team also competes in the USYS National League. I am 5'11" 170 lbs and I am LEFT FOOT DOMINANT.

In school, I enjoy studying finance, English, and physics. I always make sure to have my work in on time and completed with maximum effort. I have accumulated a 4.2 GPA thus far and I hold myself to high standards. I am not sure what I am going to study yet. Outside of school, I participate in volunteer work and sped time with friends. one of my strengths is using resources to overcome obstacles that I am faced with in sports, school, and life.

On the field, I am a competitive player. I am tenacious and work hard every single day. I put the time in outside of practice to perform the best on the field that I can. Team work is also key. Another strength I have acquired is the ability to work with my teammates on and off the field. This is especially important to me because this is where relationships are built and It makes the team stronger. I am also coachable and I can take criticism from teammates and coaches. I am a physical player and I use my size to my advantage. My left foot dominance, is a key aspect to my game because I am able to use it to create opportunities for my teammates.
