Raul Parra '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello and thank you for taking time to look at my profile. My name is Raul and I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I am now 14 and I get to play and enjoy soccer almost everyday. Since the age of 4, I have been playing for a soccer club and once I started in middle school and now high school, I get to also play for my schools soccer team. My parents have always supported my passion and they are my #1 fans. Soccer has helped me learned that I have to give it my absolute best not just on the field but in everything I do. I wish to graduate high school with honors, and continue my education in Law Enforcement. My dream would be to continue to play soccer at a college level and show my coaches all of the skills I have developed over time. 

There have been some obstacles in my life that I have been able to overcome. I continue moving forward regardless of any tough situations that I face. I will not let anything stop me from reaching my goals. On the field, I show discipline and respect towards my coach, my teammates and my opponents. In games and during practices, I push myself to develop more skills and become a player who is stronger, more technical and smarter. I have a very strong and precise left foot and can put the ball where my teammates need it in order to achieve success. To me, there really is no "I" in team.

I get to participate throughout the year in the Adopt-a-Highway program with my family but also look for new opportunities to help my community. I believe I have strong leadership qualities and try and motivate those around me to be better individuals. I also think that being consistent and pushing yourself outside your comfort zone will bring out the best in you and is why I have been able to maintain great academic records through my life at school.

For now, soccer is the only sport I play because I love it, it is my passion and I dedicate all of me to this great sport.
