My name is Joseph Conner Gardenhour and I go by Conner. Ever since I was 5 years old I've enjoyed playing the game of soccer. I started out in a recreation league in Virginia and later worked my way into playing for the most competitive soccer club in the state of Utah, La Roca FC. I started out mainly as a defender but was later moved into both attacking and defending midfield positions. We moved to Utah in 2012 and shortly after both of my parents retired from the military and we decided to make Utah our home. I'm also very fortunate based on my parents both being in the military to have Post 911 GI Bill Benefits. My short term goals are: 1. Continue to play soccer at the highest level in the state of Utah and continue to develop as a player. 2. Continue to challenge myself academically and maintain a 3.8 to 4.0 in honors level classes throughout High School. 3. Continue to develop myself as a person by continuing to take on leadership positions in my school and on my soccer team (I was a Sophomore Class Officer in High School and prior to that was student body Vice President and was Secretary in Junior High). My long term goals are: 1. Play soccer at a high level in college and hopefully take the love and passion I have for the game to the professional level either stateside or overseas. 2. Find a rewarding and challenging career that capitalizes on my college level academics, interests and pursuits. 3. Continue to develop myself as a person and be the best person I can be in life.
