My name is Braeden Carleton. I am currently a senior at Rutland High School located in Rutland, Vermont. After school when I am not actively participating in a sport, I work at a local elementary school at their after-school program, where we help lead children through different activities each day.
Academically and athletically, I strive to help myself and others to improve. I always hope to be someone my peers can come to when they have problems, whether it's about the sport, school, or even their personal life. This is why I am looking to study sports management in college. In my future, I hope to be a leader to youth and help them become not only the best athletes they can be, but the best people they can be. I hope to watch them improve at their sport and mature as a person. I believe this mindset helps me be a better athlete and teammate. I am always open to criticism and willing to try recommendations given to me by my peers and coaches. This is something I think separates me from a lot of other athletes my age.
Thank you for reading my statement.
