Benjamin Hubbard '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Benjamin Hubbard. I attend the Northwest School and I have been playing soccer for my whole life. I lived in San Diego for the most years of my life where I first developed my love for the game. I started my junior career playing left back, and developed an adequate defensive skillset. Even though I played left-back, the most impressive skill that I possessed was my passing and vision, but up until then I struggled with speed and acceleration, so I never played midfield. I put a lot of work in to this side of my game and have become faster and stronger, and then moved into the midfield/defensive midfield role that I play to this day. This position has allowed me to use my knowledge of the game to my advantage and help my teams in ways I couldn't at left back. I believe that over that past few years my overall skill has flourished and allowed me to do things on and off the ball that I wasn't able to do before. My strongest skillset as of now is  still my passing and my finishing as well, and I also excel at possessing the ball and spacial awareness. I currently play for multiple teams at my club and start in CM for my schools varsity squad.
