My name is Nathan Lanham. I am 6’3” tall and a junior at Winfield High School in West Virginia. I currently have a 3.75 GPA. I’ve been playing soccer continuously since I was four years old. My position on the soccer field is Goalie. I’ve been playing this position since around age 8. As a goalie, I understand that it takes a lot of hard work and communication in order to control the back field.
Most coaches are impressed with my reaction time and my ball handling skills. I also have an accurate long punt that can make for a good counter attack. This past 2018 fall season, I’ve had a few assists with counter attacks and have been able to keep 17 clean sheets.
At this level, I know that you have to be dedicated, otherwise, you won’t improve. With my high school team, we were practicing five days a week. My travel team practices three days a week. In my off time, I try to get as many touches on the ball as I can. No matter what team I'm playing for, I'm going to give it my all and leave everything on the field.
When I’m looking at colleges, academics are my main priority. I’m hoping to be able to study some type of engineering. I would love to find a college where I can study engineering and play the sport I love.
