Markus Quillinan '24 Recruiting Profile

Swimming started for me in the Summer of 2016 while my parents were training for their second Ironman (my mom's tenth is in Kona, Hawaii this fall). I was racing on a club track team but we were at the pool a lot and they noticed my strokes quickly connected.  We met Coach Mike Chasson that Fall and I've been with him ever since. His team's name has changed a couple times but his focus has always been to train swimmers to compete at a higher level. Which, is exactly my goal- to swim competitively through college for a D1 team. 

While being an athlete is extremely important in our family, my parents have also influenced my career interests. They've been real estate agents for over 20 years and run one of the top  brokerage/teams in Arizona. Their success has encouraged me to focus my studies on future aspirations in finance and business.
