I started with swimming when I was 5, on a little summer swim team and my love for the sport grew from there. When I was 12 I joined a more competitive year-round club team. My goals for the next few seasons are to get a Futures cut in the 800/1000 or 1500/1650, while improving my mindset as a swimmer and student. I try to take challenging classes to learn as much as possible, such as AP physics, and honors math, sciences, and history.
I am looking forward to college swimming because I think it would be exciting to be part of a team on that level. I enjoy being challenged and pushing my limits with swimming. I am an extremely hard worker and love to cheer on and uplift teammates. Distance swimming is my main focus, the long races build my stamina and grit.
Outside of the team pool I work as a lifeguard for the City of Tucson. I volunteer as a dog walker at our county animal shelter, and enjoy paintballing, World War 1/2 video games and history, and relaxing with my dog.
