Personal Statement
My name is Melson Arquillano, I am currently a sophomore with huge aspirations and goals. I’m a student athlete who has dreams of going D1 and one day being an Olympic swimmer. I love competition. I compete with everyone, whether its academically, in practice, or even just a dumb game, I HATE LOSING. Each and everyday I push myself past my limits academically, in the pool, and in everyday life. In my books hard work beats talent, with this said I do my best to outwork everyone academically and in practice. I want to become the best version of myself. To me, it doesn’t matter what others think. I have my own goals and dreams. I want to struggle and work to get to the top. I want to be the best no matter what.
