I have been swimming competitively since I was seven years old. Since that time, I have repeatedly qualified for State Championships in my home state of Michigan. I first knew I wanted to swim for college during my freshman year, when I started swimming with my high school team. During this year, my 400 freestyle relay team set a new conference record in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference. Additionally, I earned a division 2 state qualifying cut in the 100 yard backstroke. In 2023, my relay teams won 1st in the SMAC conference for our 200 IM (backstroke) and 400 freestyle relays, and I won first place for 100 backstroke.
This year (2023, sophomore), I also earned sectional cuts for 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly.
I am committed to continuing to work hard in my disciplined approach to training, with the ultimate goal of exceeding my personal best times year after year.
