When it comes to swimming competitively, my whole life has been revolving around the sport since I was 7 years old. Not only do I put full time and effort into swimming, but I continue to maintain my grades in the academic field while taking part in the sport. Practice to me is something that should never be missed or taken for granted. Every set, yard, or stroke taken can help you become a better swimmer. I also believe that attendance is a very important factor when it comes to practices. My goals as far as education is to graduate college with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and receive a bachelors degree or higher in my choice of major. My high school team has never been the strongest but I continue to lead my team and push my teammates to become better athletes, as the current captain of the team. In all, I want to be successful with both swimming and academics in college, to better the future for my teammates and myself.
