Personal Statement

Dear Swimming Coaches

It is with great enthusiasm and determination that I am reaching out to express my collegiate goals and aspirations in swimming. I aspire to be part of your swim team and believe that my exceptional qualities make me a standout candidate. From my character to my athletic abilities and academic achievements, I am confident that I have what it takes to contribute meaningfully to your team.

Throughout my life, I have always upheld high standards and continually challenged myself to surpass them. I am a firm believer in the power of hard work and have consistently pushed my limits to achieve greatness both in and out of the pool. As a result, I consider myself a dedicated and relentless individual, always striving for personal improvement.

What sets me apart from other recruits is not just my commitment to excellence, but also my coachable nature and ability to work effectively within a team. I firmly believe that being coachable means being open to feedback, embracing constructive criticism, and implementing necessary changes to enhance performance. I approach every practice and competition with a growth mindset, eager to learn from my coaches, teammates, and experiences to continually improve my swimming technique.

Academically, I have excelled while maintaining a rigorous training schedule. My commitment to balancing my studies and swimming has been recognized through awards such as the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award, the S.T.A.C. All-Star recognition, the S.T.A.C. All-Conference accolade, and the Gold Academic Award. These honors reflect my discipline, time management skills, and dedication to excellence not just in the pool, but also in the classroom.

What truly drives me as an athlete is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those around me. Swimming has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. I promise to bring these values to your team and contribute not only as an accomplished swimmer, but also as a supportive teammate, inspiring others to reach their full potential.

In conclusion, my collegiate goals and aspirations are focused on joining your swim team. With my unwavering determination, coachable nature, strong academic background, and unmatched commitment to excellence, I am confident that I would be an important addition to your team. Thank you for considering my profile, and I look forward to the opportunity of discussing further how I can contribute to the future success of your program.

Sincerely,

Carter Czebiniak
