Victor Krautsov '26 Recruiting Profile

As a swimmer who began swimming competitively at the age of 8, and later became passionate about the sport at the age of 11, I have become committed to my distant goals because I know that anything is possible, as long as you put it the proper work ethic. Yet you may ponder, what motivated me to make such a decision? In my words, I figured out that swimming is that one "sport", where the rewards (best times) are reflected by the work ethic put in. Griding practices, pushing through the moments that I don't want to, and waking up early for morning practices, ultimately let me appreciate the sport and the rewards I get (PR's in events). My swimming goals are to achieve an Olympic time standard before my senior year of HS, commit to a D1 school that values both academics and athletics, and contribute to a team that fosters positivity, discipline, and strong encouragement. 

Parting ways from athleticism, I've got academics. As of right now, I attend the international school of Beaverton, ranked #14 in the whole nation! Here, I believe in being a successful student, striving to maintain a high GPA, and fostering academic success. Parting in the full IB diploma for the junior and senior year will ultimately reflect upon my ability to nagivate through these challenging courses, as it'll prepare me for med school, where I find my career passions lying. The equal-part work ethic I have for swimming and education conveys the dedication I have for both traits. My commitment to these traits portrays a hard worker, one who practices day in and day out, respectively a person who makes himself a better person than the day he was before.
