I’m mainly focused on academics, but I really look forward to the opportunity to compete in college. I only started swimming on my high school team as a junior in 2022. It took me a while to get involved in high school sports, as my magnet high school (School for the Talented and Gifted) does not offer any sports. Instead, I compete for Woodrow Wilson high school, my local comprehensive high school. My freshman year we had no swimming due to COVID and it took me a while sophomore year to figure out how to join the Woodrow team. I’ve improved a lot in the short time I’ve been in high school swimming and I’ve had some early success at the district and regional levels. I did swim on a club team as a 10 and under.
