Running has been a passion of mine for many years. Dating back to elementary school, I ran everyday before class. I took this opportunity so serious that I received an award for most miles ran in one school year. From that point on, I have always been addicted to the idea and concept of running in high school and college. As a freshman, I was eager to join the cross country and track team at Helix High School to see if I had what it took to be part of the team. I then realized going into sophmore year, I had the continue to excel in order to represent Helix High School on the varsity level.
Taking initiative and responsibility are a small portion of my character traits. I have always been a loyal friend, teammate and classmate both in and out of the classroom. I decided to challenge myself by enrolling in honors classes to push my abilities to the highest degree. I take academics very seriously, personally and strive to achieve my goals.
With me being on a college team, I know my presence could create a stronger bond with my team and classmates. Being accepted by a college cross country and track team has been a lifetime dream and goal of mine to accomplish and would allow me to show my capabilities with my coaches, peers, and the rest of the college community.
