I thought I was destined for basketball, but that changed when I stepped onto the track for the first time. I found myself wanting to challenge myself every time I stepped on the track field to run. I thought running track was something that I just wanted to do as a hobby or to past time, but it turns out that track wanted me and I want it back, it helps me feel accomplished when I'm able to go out and give my all for my team and for myself. Call me crazy, but most people hate to run, I say "Bring it On", running track is completely fun for me and my day doesn't feel complete when I am unable to run. "When I am running I feel like nothing is impossible."
My goal is to run track at a collegiate level and to hopefully run for the U.S. Olympics team. Running track has taught me how to do discipline myself. I want to bring that same discipline, hard work, and leadership qualities to a collegiate team that will help me challenge myself more and bring out the best in me. I want to make my teammates and coaches proud to have worked with me. The school that I will choose to commit to will have the same end-goals and aspirations as I do. We will work as a team and build together. Together we will put on a great fight and break records. Together we will win!
